A lovely chest of drawers it was made in Ascot Vale, Melbourne by Jelliffe Furniture (established in 1936).  It features;

·       oak timber & oak ply (top only) construction

·       circa 1940’s

·       4 dovetail-joined drawers

·       complete & matching angled handles

·       bracket front feet

·       makers stamp; A Jelliffe Furniture Manufacturers, Ascot Vale

Condition overview; in good condition, relative to its age, it is a solid piece and all of the drawers work well.  As expected on a piece of this vintage, it displays general wear, knock and surface marks & some inconsistency to the finish
